Business Development Representative

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential clients, solicit new opportunities, and collaborate with Business Development team to drive leads through the sales pipeline  
  • Communicate with prospects via telephone or email to identify appropriate contacts 
  • Build and maintain a lead generation system that interacts with both marketing and sales efforts 
  • Analyze prospect’s marketing and business development needs and requirements, providing insightful analysis 
  • Identify key players and generate interest through research 
  • Qualify leads from various sources, such as campaigns, conferences, references, and trade shows, etc. 
  • Create, track, and maintain a database of prospective clients utilizing HubSpot 
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Business Development team member for further development and closure 
  • Keep Business Development team informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports 
  • Collaborate with team and leverage resources to learn about SCORR’s services and expertise 
  • Create capabilities presentations and work with the creative team to maintain up-to-date PPT slides and creative decks  
  • Schedule discovery calls and capabilities presentations with potential clients  
  • Work with Contracts & Proposal Manager in Proposify for potential and former clients that have new opportunities 


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar area of study 
  • 2+ years of related work experience in advertising, marketing, sales, or B2B marketing with a full-service agency, preferably with a focus in life science, health care, or pharmaceuticals  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality, and results-focused environment 
  • Passion for marketing strategy and an interest in growing your marketing skill set
  • Travel may be required  

Desired Qualifications

  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
