Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Research
- Proactively source outbound opportunities aligned with SCORR’s ideal customer profile
- Build and maintain strong, qualified prospect clients and target companies within HubSpot
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect challenges and determine fit
- Outreach and Qualification
- Develop materials and communicate with prospects via various channels (phone, email, LinkedIn) to build rapport, provide company information, and identify the appropriate decision-makers
- Qualify and nurture leads through the sales pipeline by providing tailored explanations of our services and expertise
- Seamlessly hand off sales-ready leads to VP of Business Development
- Sales Innovation and AI Integration
- Leverage and test AI tools to improve lead qualification, outreach, and workflow efficiency
- Maintain a pulse on the drug development services landscape, translating market insights into relevant and competitive outbound messaging
- Reporting and CRM Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking in HubSpot
- Prepare reports, insights, and materials to support forecasting and leadership visibility
- Support capabilities presentations, proposals, and sales collateral in partnership with marketing and contracts teams
- Sales Collateral and Proposal Support
- Create capabilities presentations and marketing materials independently
- Partner with the Contracts & Proposals Administrator to generate formal proposals and contracts in Proposify
- Marketing and Market Intelligence Support
- Re-engage dormant or closed-lost opportunities as timelines and needs evolve
- Conduct pre-conference outreach to secure high-value meetings for the VP of Business Development and execute immediate post-event follow-up sequences
- Share insights from discovery calls on competitor positions, objections, and marketing trends with team
- Miscellaneous Departmental Support
- Provide administrative and project support to the business development team
- Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and free up senior leaders for strategic work
- Collaborate cross-functionally with a team-first mindset
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development (agency and life sciences experience preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Comfortable managing multiple prospects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in AI tools, prompt engineering, and modern sales workflows
